Description
The Bronco Challenge for Sustainable Impact (The Challenge) is a new WMU initiative launched in Fall 2022 that provides students with an opportunity to have a sustainability-related problem-solving experience. The Challenge is an optional, co-curricular opportunity open to all WMU students across all academic majors. Students will work competitively throughout the academic year in self-selected, three to five person teams on a sustainability project of their own design. Projects must propose solutions to issues raised by one or more of the United Nations (UN) 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and incorporate applicable issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The result of a project may be an idea for a product, a service, a business, or a public policy. The Challenge wraps up on Friday, May 12 when students present results of their work in competition for prize money totaling $19,500. You can learn more about The Challenge details here. Join us on Tuesday, May 16 at This is a Bookstore's Table of Contents Café to hear from the winners of the Bronco Challenge for Sustainable Impact!
