Join Maison Vampyre's resident herbalist, Kris Gurky, and learn the healing and magickal properties of plants by walking the old path. In this four part part Spring workshop series, you will learn how to identify plants used in medicine and magick by walking a secret path in Salem and touching the plants, herbs, and trees used in healing remedies and magical workings that grow all around us. Purchase the entire workshop serious for $225, or individual classes for $65. Class incluses $25 worth of product you will craft, and guidbook with instruction and recipes to take home. Each workshop is limited to 12 attendees. Class 1 May 20, Saturday 10:00 -1:00 Witches’ Herbal Walk - Crafting Magickal Oils: Learn how to identify herbs in the wild, their magickal properties, and witching lore associated with them. We will disscuss the virtues of the planets and the plants, doctrine of signatures, and the healing properties of plants, trees and herbs as we walk a secret path in Salem. At the end of the walk, we will craft herbal oils using herbs we gathered on our walk. *This class will be outside, no more than a mile walk. Loation will be emailed to attendees. Class 2 May 27, Saturday 10:00 - 1:00 Preparation of Herbal Tinctures, Elixirs, and Potions: learn the various herbal preperation methods for protection, prevention, seduction, prosperity, and other magickal workings. We will discuss various herbs herbs for specific intentions and methods of application. Every attendee will leave with a custom potion to take home for magickal workings. Class 3 June 10, Saturday 10:00 -1:00 Witches’ Herbal Walk: Learn the magickal properties, witching lore, virtues of the planets and the plants, doctrine of signatures, and the healing properties of plants, trees and herbs as we walk a secret path in Salem.  At the end of the walk we will gather in circle and craft herbal smoke bundles, incense, and discuss the fumigations of the seven planets. Every attendee will leave with an herbal smoke bundle and loose incense crafted with fresh herbs and resins.*This class will be outside, no more than a mile walk. Loation will be emailed to attendees. Class 4 July 8, Saturday 10:00 -1:00 Witches’ Healing Ointments and Unguents. Learn the history of the Witches’ Flying Ointment, as well as the various herbs that were vilified in the making of them. We will also discuss various herbs used to craft herbal salves, and every attendee will leave with their own personal witches’ ointment to take home. About your instructor: Kris Gurky is an herbal practitioner with a fondness for the poison path. She earned a Masters in Herbal Medicine from the American College of Healthcare Sciences in Portland Oregon and completed an herbal apprenticeship at the Boston School of Herbal Studies. She is the proprietress of Dark Moon Salem and the organizer of the Witch City Tarot Gathering.
