Free Black Mamas Bailout is an annual campaign organized by Mass Liberation Project NV and The National Bail Out that seeks to raise awareness about the human and financial costs of money bail and emphasize its impact on Black mothers and caregivers. Every year since 2017, we have coordinated tactical bail outs nationwide to free as many Black Mamas and caregivers as possible so they may spend Mother’s Day with their families where they belong. This year we are expanding to include a fellowship and Black Mamas Garden and farming network to build connections with the land, and trust in our own self determination to ensure that all Black Mamas have what they need to thrive. When Black Mamas are Free, everyone is free. The liberation of Black Women begets liberation for all!
