The SpokenWord Oscars Live At The Dock Bookshop & Dock Community Tuesday May 30th 2023 7:30pm -10pm Created-Coordinated and Hosted by MIKE GUINN ENTERTAINMENT This year we will have four categories and add more annually. No Nominations - No Politics - No Excuses. Just on the spot high energy performances Chosen by a panel of 3-5 judges LIVE! Nominees can choose 2 categories to compete in. All 5 Categories will be posted on Eventbrite. There will be only 5 Slots Per Category. You can only sign up for TWO CATEGORIES MAX. Except for the Spokenword Slam ( 6 Competing Poets) CATEGORIES ARE: Best Haiku (2 Haiku Only) Best Read Poem (One 2 Min Poem ) Best SpokenWord Artist (One 3 minute Poem) Best Accent/Voice In Performance (One 2 min Poem) Best Storyteller (One Min Story) 3 -5 Judges Will score poets on their Originality -Content-Performance On a scale of 0.1-1.0 So polish those poems, haiku, spokenword, accents and practice your acceptance speech.
