Description

Friendraiser Explores Atlanta’s Fruit Canopy with Family-friendly Celebration On Saturday, May 13th from 3–7 p.m, Concrete Jungle hosts our largest annual event, the Spectacular Fruit Ramble! Help us kick off the fruit season with a walking or biking tour of the fruit trees around Atlanta, followed by a zany, fruit-themed carnival. The Ramble begins at 3 pm at Neighborhood Church on McClendon Ave NE, where guests will check in and begin the family-friendly walking and biking tour of nearby fruit trees. Ramble attendees will enjoy an adventurous afternoon spent learning about the city’s fruit trees and sampling fruits along the path, such as serviceberries and mulberries. The tour ends at 4:30 pm back at Neighborhood Church and Candler Park and the real party begins! Engage with the Concrete Jungle team and play zany fruit-themed carnival games that will challenge your perceptions of the fruits you know and love. The Concrete Jungle team will serve as guides for the afternoon and can also provide info on upcoming volunteer opportunities for Atlantans to get involved with their mission of getting ignored, fresh produce in the city to hunger relief organizations. We can't wait to see you there!
