Shoden means beginning the path of self-discovery. This healing journey begins with an awareness that you must take care of yourself first. Many people take a Reiki class to help others. However, to help others most effectively, we need to heal ourselves first. Once you are well established in your personal practice, you will be able to offer Reiki to others with confidence and ease.
There’s a reason why this class is six weeks in length. Inner healing takes time, support, and consistent practice. As we begin each class, we will discuss how your practice went the previous week, and encourage and support each other through the process. This not only keeps us accountable but it builds a sense of community.
This class will also include elements of mindfulness meditation, which will help you enter each day with presence and less reactivity - to begin learning to be OK with things as they are.
This class is a commitment and will allow you to move into the world feeling empowered, transformed, focused, and firmly established in your own personal practice.
Each week will build upon itself, and the following topics will be covered.
The Foundation of Reiki - The Reiki Precepts
