Description

During the 8-week session, participants will learn or review the basics of crochet. We will cover basic stitches, terminology, pattern reading, and basic construction of accessories. The goal will be to complete a simple project by the end of the session. More advanced participants will be provided with assistance for completing items of their choosing.We will also provide assistance for participants who want to learn how to knit instead. They will learn knitting basics, with the goal for completing a simple accessory, such as a scarf or cowl by the end of the session.It is not advisable that participants learn both crochet and knitting at the same time, but attempt them during separate sessions. However, assistance can be provided for either craft once they have mastered the basics.Beginner's Supplies:Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook for CrochetersSize 9 or 10 knitting needles for Knitters1 skein of Medium Weight yarn*Craft Ruler of Measuring TapeNotebook/Journal/pencil or penTote bag*Additional yarn may be needed depending of the project.
