Description
Enriched by diverse musical tastes and great group chemistry, The MossBack Mule Band continues to maintain the ensemble that formed in the early 1970’s. The group concentrates on Americana and original music influenced by the blues, boogie-woogie, swing, and rock and roll. They share a common stylistic vision as the write and arrange music that fits the quartet! Three of the founders, Steve Quenneville, guitar/vocals, Dave Liddy, piano/vocals, and Hal Kent, bass, are joined by Dave Pallas on drums and vocals. Pallas is an in-demand drummer, playing in a variety of settings throughout Central New York. Hal is distinctive musician who fully engages the audience with every performance. Quenneville, Liddy and Kent were inducted into the Syracuse Music Hall of Fame in March of 2020. They received their award as members of the MBMB in a ceremony held at the Palace Theatre in Eastwood. While playing as part of the acoustic trio “String Bee,” Quenneville and Liddy had two CD recordings nominated for a Syracuse Area Music Award (SAMMY) with their album “Alive from the Hive” winning a SAMMY! In 2015, Dave was also inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame as a “Great Blues Artist” on piano. Through the years MossBack Mule Band played in concerts with Freddy King, Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams Jr., Pure Prairie League, Commander Cody, the Subdudes and other national acts but their appeal is in large part due to their inclusion in the Central New York music community. This deep well of talented musicians and enthusiastic fans has a rich history of freely interacting to create a memorable event for all who attend! Advance Tickets are $18 through Eventbrite now and are available locally starting on Monday, May 1 at Adirondack Cheese Company on Rt. 12 in Barneveld. Night of concert tickets are $18 for members and $20 for non-Members at the box office starting at 7:15pm.
