Ever wondered what it takes to create a fractal burn on wood? Now is your chance to find out. Join us for a class led by local craftsman, Keith Holder of keefiswood.com, to learn how to make your own fractal burn charcuterie board. Each student will be provided with a rectangular maple charcuterie board for the burning process. Each board will measure 15”x10”x1” and be sanded to 80 grit for best results. Keith will lead the class on the ins and outs of fractal burning, and each student will have the opportunity to burn their own board. Afterward, for an additional cost, students can opt into filling the fractal burns with colored epoxy as well. Each student over 21 years old will be given a beer ticket to enjoy after they're done with the fractal burning portion of the event. Location: Reaver Beach in Norfolk, at 3800 Colley Ave in Norfolk VA. Date and Time: May 7th at noon. Class will be approximately 3-4 hours. Fractal Burn only price: $80, includes instruction, maple board that is yours to keep, and one beer ticket for AFTER you have done your fractal burning. Price including epoxy fill: $100, includes instruction, maple board that is yours to keep, epoxy and multiple color options for your epoxy fill, supplies for the epoxy portion of the event, and one beer ticket for AFTER you have completed the fractal burning portion of the event. Please note: Fractal burning does require handling of electricity. Each attendee will have to sign a liability waiver in order to participate, and unfortunately we will only be able to have students 18+ for this event.
