Join Adorn & Garnish and Round Rock Community Clay as we create two fully custom candles. First you can choose a pre made vessel from available inventory out of RRCC's hand made ceramic planters. Courtney, owner of Adorn & Garnish will then teach you how to fill and scent the vessel using her amazing array of scents, waxes and additional decorative ingredients. While this take home today item is curing, you will make a custom candle out of clay. You will hand build a custom pot using slab/coil and pinch techniques. You will have access to a variety of tools, texture rollers and clay bodies to create a one of a kind personalized candle. **The handmade ceramic vessel will take about one week to dry and go through a bisque kiln load. You can return after 7-10 days to glaze your pot, and then it will take an additional 7-10 days to go through a glaze firing. For an additional fill fee you can have the second pot filled with scented/unscented wax. Depending on the ounces required to fill your second vessel, Adorn & Garnish will have order cards on hand to choose the scent/wax for the second candle, that you can fill out when you come to glaze. Additional information regarding picked up for filled vessels will be available during the workshop. Pots will only be held 60 days! Please be sure to come back and glaze your pieces!
