The North Texas Prostate Cancer Coalition is proud to announce the 2023 UT Southwestern
North Texas Prostate Cancer Coalition Symposium to be held on May 20, 2023.
Lunch and coffee is provided complimentary.
The Symposium is free of charge and will bring together prostate cancer patients and their
loved ones who are interested in learning more about a prostate cancer diagnosis, the latest
treatments, the most promising research, support services, social issues, and more, from
experts in these areas.
Our keynote speaker is the nationally recognized Dr. Reggie Tucker-Seely, Vice President of
Health Equity at ZERO – The End of Prostate Cancer. He will discuss challenges with health
equity in prostate cancer, including the fact that one in 8 men will develop prostate cancer
and why African American men have a much higher rate of developing the disease than other
men.
There will also be a discussion on clinical trials by Dr Kevin Courtney PhD ,UTSW, followed
by a panel discussion for survivors, family embers and medical professionals.
The Symposium is a partnership between UT Southwestern Harold C. Simmons
Comprehensive Cancer Center and the North Texas Prostate Cancer Coalition, and it will be
held on the UT Southwestern campus in Dallas, Texas.
