Join us for a special private tour of the Westwood Greenway led by Charles Miller, Plant Specialist. The Westwood Neighborhood Greenway cleans water while providing an island of native habitat for birds, butterflies, and other animals next to one of the nation’s busiest light rail lines. After our 90 minute tour, we’ll each drive to the Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden on the UCLA campus where APLD will provide lunch and you can co-mingle, network and schmooze with landscape design colleagues.
This event is for current APLD members but we'd also like to extend an invitation to any local landscape designers who are interested in learning more about the Association of Professional Landscape Designers.
The UCLA Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden is a 7.5 acre public garden, outdoor classroom, and research facility on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles, California that promotes botanical knowledge by curating collections that highlight biogeography, conservation, and natural history. The Garden seeks to inspire environmental and cultural appreciation of plants and their relationship to society through education, research, and public outreach. The beautiful setting fosters health and tranquility for the community.
