This Green Tara retreat with Lama Lakshey Zangpo Rinpoche & Khenpo Karten Rinpoche is for the purpose of restoring the natural, physical and emotional balanced within this world allowing for the increase of peaceful human interaction, the alleviation and reduction of conflicts within humanity and harmonizing environmental elements and spirits with the aim of diverting natural diasters. Within Tibetan Buddhism, Green Tara is regarded as a female bodhisattva of compassion and action. She is known as the Mother of the Buddhas, born from Chenrezig's tear of compassion " I pray to the deity of mindfulness, mother Tara: Protect us who have glimpsed the nature of mind, so diffiuclt to realize and yet due to the lack of mindfulness and familiarity, remain distracted by negative action"- Drikung Kyobpa Jikten Sumgon Date: May 28th, 2023 Time: Day long retreat ( 10-4pm) Lunch 12:00-2:00 * Please allow enough time to arrive just before 10am as retreat will begin promptly* Where: The Galleria ( 2nd floor) Suite 240 Community Room ( Tsinta Mani Choling Santa Cruz) 740 FRONT STREET SANTA CRUZ Fee: $50 no one will be turned away for lack of fees. As part of registration you are also invited to make an offering to the scholarship fund to support others ( use donation option and please know this is not a ticket) You will still need to register for the event by purchasing a ticket. Once a retreat begins a sacred container is formed made of each persons good intentions to be fully present. Our mutual practice supports eachother.
