Put on your cocktail attire and join Read for Literacy at The Pinnacle for a night to remember. Featuring two new short films showcasing our Real Men READ-y and English for Speakers of Other Languages programs -- join us as we recognize the success stories of Read for Literacy's community services. Author Derrick Barnes, National Book Award finalist for his graphic novel "Stand. Victory! Raising My Fist for Justice," and recipient of the Newbery Honor and Coretta Scott King Award for his 2017 children's book, "Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut," will provide the evening's keynote address. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, cash bars, a live auction, and special guest authors and illustrators round off Toledo's premiere fundraising event of the Spring! The evening's honorees for their excellence in literacy are: Pastor Melvin Barnes, Real Men READ-y Tutor Myung Choi , ESOL Student Rhonda Sewell, Founder of Real Men READ-y $75 for individual tickets $450 reserves your group of 6 a table Doors open at 6:30pm Program begins at 7:15 Claire's Night is on the eve of the annual Claire's Day Children's Book Festival, in honor of Claire Lynsey Rubini.
