Packet pick up will be on May 25th from 5-9 PM, and the 26th from 7-9 AM at the Dayton Convention Center. Check-in: May 25th at 5-5:30pm Fun Run (1 mile): 5:30 pm 5K &10K: Kickoff at 6 pm Live music & activities: 7-9 pm (Food trucks, face painting, ice cream, live music) Date: Friday, May 26th Charity/connection to cause: Crayons for Classrooms and Dayton Education Association Crayons to Classrooms mission statement: “Secure and distribute school supplies at no cost to teachers of students in need.” We were also having a school supplies donation at the event for people to donate! Dayton Education Association mission statement: “We, the Dayton Education Association, will encourage professionalism; advocate the rights of members; and demonstrate a positive commitment to the enhancement of "Public Education." Signature Event: 5K The 5K will be the competitive aspect of our event as the majority of the people will be participating in the 5K. We will explore the option of having three blow up obstacles along the race to serve as a challenge for the kids and a laugh for the parents. Ancillary Elements: Kids Fun Run (1 mile) 10k race Summer Bash Festivals with music, food trucks and games for families to play after the races to be able to kick off the summer Site information: Start and Finish: Levitt Pavilion in Dayton There is a Hotel right next to the amphitheater Packet Pickup will be held at the Dayton Convention and Visitors Bureau on the 25th and the morning of the 26th There are 3 parking garages near the pavilion that are open to the public to be able to use
