Fri, May 12th - Brittany Ann Tanbaugh at Music on the Square 7:30pm Bouncing between witty sarcasm and heartbreaking vulnerability, Brittany's songs tackle a wide range of topics. In July of last year, Tranbaugh's queer Americana heartbreaker "Kiss You" was awarded Song of the Year in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, which came with a $20,000 cash prize. She used the money to fly her band out to Los Angeles to record five songs with Grammy-winning producer Tyler Chester (Madison Cunningham, Margaret Glaspy, Watkins Family Hour), which proved to be a life-affirming trip. That very quartet will be traveling down from Philly to perform here in Baltimore on Friday May 12th. Expect to be blown away by Brittany's lyrical wittiness, her vocal prowess and a full band replete with lucious and powerful vocal harmonies.
