Speaker: Jeffrey Wheatman is a cybersecurity and risk management expert with a successful history of working with public sector clients and Fortune 500 companies. He is known for guiding organizations to develop, transform, and manage their cybersecurity programs to ensure their continued viability and health. Currently, Jeffrey holds the position of SVP, Cyber Risk Evangelist at Black Kite, where he raises awareness of third-party risk impacts on enterprises and supports the strategic vision of the executive leadership team and investors. Previously, he worked as a VP, Advisor with Gartner, where he advised clients on building and improving their security programs, selecting frameworks to run cyber programs in compliance with regulatory requirements, and bridging the connection between technology and security risk. Jeffrey's extensive experience in cybersecurity and risk management includes preparing security and risk leaders to present before a board, reviewing and advising on upwards of 500 board presentations, and briefing 60+ boards of directors to understand their role in managing cyber risk. Jeffrey has chaired the North America Security and Risk Management Summit, Gartner’s second-largest conference, for four years. His work has been instrumental in providing best practice solutions to board and C-level leaders to achieve exceptional performance outcomes.
