Zachys has long been widely recognized as one of America’s premier fine wine and spirits retailers. And over the past year, we’ve moved our beloved brick-and-mortar retail store, along with our corporate offices, auction teams, and storage facilities, all under one roof in our new home in Port Chester, NY. You may ask, what are we doing to celebrate? Zachys Port Chester is now host to some of the east coast’s greatest tasting events, beginning with our kick-off Welcome Port Chester tasting event on May 20-21. Over the course of two days and three tastings, 40 of the world’s greatest producers will pour over 70 wines and spirits for enthusiasts and collectors like yourself! This means vintage Champagne, Premier Cru Burgundy, cellar-aged Bordeaux, West Coast icons, Italian stars, and South American gems! Producers will be onsite too! Agustina Hobbs will be pouring her father’s legendary wines (including To Kalon!), while Yannick Passemart from Veuve Clicquot and Chateau D’Esclans who will be sharing their latest releases. Ben Casteel of Bethel Heights will prove that Oregon is one of the world’s greatest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producers, and Antton Bastianaagi from Château Clarke will be sharing some exquisite aged Bordeaux. Alan Cannon from Rombauer will walk us through their Napa Valley treasures, while I Greppi’s Dale Heatley will confirm that Super-Tuscans can be both affordable and exceptional. And then there’s the food! Everyone in Westchester County knows how heavenly the freshly-baked croissants, baguettes, scones and breads at The Kneaded Bread are, and they’ve been generous enough to bake a few extra racks of tasty treats to accompany pours over the weekend. And what pairs perfectly with wine, spirits and bread? Cheese! And few in the world do it better than Artisinal Premium Cheese (APC). Founded by Michelin star chef Terrance Brennan in the early 1990s at Manhattan’s Picholine, the APC has since expanded beyond premium importing to educate Americans on the art of tasting (CheeseClock ®) and aging (affinage), which they will share with you in May! And last, we’re giving back too. Fifty percent of ticket proceeds will be donated to Meals on Main Street, a local community organization committed to eliminating food insecurity in Port Chester.
