See More Than... Shorts Package 1 presents: AROUND THE WORLD IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD (Dir. Taylor Plecity, Natalie London; USA; 14 min) - 83 year old Al is on a mission to ride the entire circumference of the world without leaving his neighborhood, but even greater than his mission is the unsuspecting impact he has on everyone that crosses his path. BREAD BIKE (Dir. Beth Gage, George Gage; USA; 19 min) - Bread Bike is Sam, Matt and Mariah, all uninspired by what they studied in college. With their passion for baking bread, making friends and a philosophy that everyone loves good food, they've created Bread Bike, a unique way of sharing delicious food, supporting farmers, creating community, and having fun. BUZZ: POLLEN NATION (Dir. Mike Machian; USA: 9 min) - Bombus occidentalis, the Western Bumblebee, was one of the most common species found in the western US. Since the late 90's, this species has experienced steep decline. Kellie Hayden volunteers her time to help track and conserve native bumblebee species. COME ONE COME ALL - A CIRCUS WITH A PURPOSE (Dir. Nathan Ward; USA; 27 min) - The story of The Salida Circus, a social circus in Salida, Colorado where both kids and adults learn circus skills, then take their acts out into the world. A social circus uses the circus arts to create community for all, promote social justice, encourage art as athletics, and improve individual wellness. As they say, a person doesn’t need any circus skills to join the circus, just circus spirit. This film is an ode to the power of the circus spirit and a celebration of mountain town talent. FIGHT OR FLIGHT (Dir. Linsey Hagen; USA; 15 min) - Chronicles the journey of the first female pilot employed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Drawn to flying as a means to flee her early trauma, she pursues a career in professional aviation and discovers she must first assemble the tools required to face her past and heal.
