You don’t have to go far to enjoy birds or be a scientist to participate in science! Join BNRC on a short morning walk at downtown Pittsfield's Springside Park to look for birds and learn how to contribute to community science through Cornell Lab's Celebrate Urban Birds (CUBs) program.
People new to birding are welcome at this event, as well as young people ages 12 and up. Binoculars will be available to borrow for those who need them.
What to Bring: Binoculars if you have them. *Extra binoculars will be available for those who need them*. Please wear sturdy walking shoes.
Dogs not allowed: Please leave your four-legged friends at home for this walk to maximize our chance of seeing birds.
Directions: Meet at the parking lot straight down the road from the 874 North Street Entrance and adjacent to the playground.
