Manteca CA – Security Public Storage (SPS) invites the public to a special event dedicating our newest community mural, located along the Crestwood Avenue wall of our Manteca facility at 316 W Lathrop Rd. The celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 31st, from 9am to noon. Guests will include many community organizations, City representatives, local media outlets and our mural artist, Jerry Ragg! SPS dedicates this vibrant mural to the citizens of Manteca and surrounding area, in celebration of the region’s rich heritage. This is SPS’s 14th community mural and one of our largest to date, at over 330’ long, covering nearly 3,300 sq ft. Because 2023 marks SPS’ 40th anniversary since opening our first 2 facilities in Modesto, we take special pride in this dedication of our first Central Valley community mural. Family-owned SPS has been the trusted source for secure self storage since 1983, with 51 locations in the Western US and DC Metro area. The “Manteca’s Treasures” mural was designed and painted by artist, Jerry Ragg of Mural Decor. Jerry has worked with SPS since 2018 and has designed and/or painted over half of all SPS murals. Jerry said that he’d never before experienced such a spontaneous outpouring of enthusiasm for one of his murals—literally hundreds of admirers stopped by, honked, waved, high-fived and even offered him gifts of appreciation! He was delighted to get such a positive response, especially after weeks of delay due to the extraordinary rains this year. Everyone is invited to attend the dedication of the Manteca’s Treasures Mural at SPS Manteca, 316 W Lathrop Road on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, just after the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Our dedicated On-Site Managers, Penny & Melissa Haskins, are beloved in the community, having just been voted “Best Self-Storage Facility” for the 12th year in the Bulletin’s Readers’ Choice 2023!
