Join us for the creation of a pollinator garden at the Vacaville Boys and Girls Club! Over a weekend, the Sustainable Solano Environmental Justice Leadership Fellows will be teaming up with the Markham community to create a beautiful and functional pollinator garden at the Vacaville Boys and Girls Club. This new garden will provide a safe and welcoming home for native CA pollinators, allowing them to thrive and continue their essential role in our ecosystem. The event will include some light earthworks, which may include tasks such as digging, planting, and moving soil. Towards the end of the event, there will be a chance to learn more about irrigation, plant water needs, and to help with the installation of a drip system. This event will be a great opportunity to get involved in a meaningful project that will have a positive impact on the local pollinator population.
