A public gathering hosted in partnership with community faith leaders, Gaston NAACP, and the City of Gastonia DEI. National Day of Payer was established in 1952, by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, as annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, when people are asked to come together in prayer and reflection.
