The Maitland Farmer's Market will celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with a special event from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, on Independence Lane. See environmental displays and electric vehicles. Register to win three days free use of an electric Mercedes-Benz, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz of Orlando, Maitland. See amazing birds from the Avian Reconditioning Center. Duke Energy will give away 40 crape myrtle trees. The City of Maitland arborist will answer questions about tree planting and care. Shop among the Farmer’s Market vendors. A kids zone will include inflatable slides and games on the lawn. Live music will be provided by Performing Arts Matters. Admission is free.
