Description

It is no secret that our community has experienced many losses recently. From the explosion at R.M. Palmer, the missing teens in our city of Reading, the loss of young Javien Perch, and the legislature that has been introduced to harm the LGBT community. We can all come together in solidarity in our shared grief. We still remember and grieve for all our loved ones and leaders lost long ago and their memories live on through us. We are their legacy, so how do we want to lead it? It is up to us- the community leaders, loved ones, friends, and family- to care for our broken hearts, heal the community, and protect it from harm. The LGBT Center does not discriminate we are here for you regardless of identity- if you do not identify as LGBT no problem! We are still here for you; if you need any of our services, you are welcome! If you are interested in celebrating the life of someone that you have lost and would like to participate in the release of butterflies please reach out to learn more. [email protected] Details: We will be releasing painted butterflies and serving a lunch of pulled pork on a roll, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans with a bottle of water and a bag of chips.
