This month's topic is: Reporting Child Abuse As parents, family members, community members of children or professionals working with children, not only is it important to know how to recognize child abuse but also how to report child abuse. This presentation will cover different types of child abuse, signs of abuse, and the information you need in order to make a successful report. About the presenter: Kim Summers, MSW is a Forensic Interviewer at the CAC. She earned her Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science through York College and her Master’s in Social Work through Shippensburg University. Kim has over a decade of experience working with children and families in many capacities, including summer camps, autism support, and foster care services. In her spare time, Kim enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her nephew, and baking. This presentation is suitable for parents and caregivers. The information is not geared toward children. You can attend virtually or in-person at our Brighter Tomorrows Center!
