Urban Futures Centers is excited to announce an upcoming community engagement event on May 6th, 2023, at Discovery World. The event, titled "Each Mind Matters: Building Resilient Communities " will bring together stakeholders from various sectors to discuss and collaborate on important topics such as STEM programs, Mental Health awareness, and the needs of our community. Urban Futures Centers believes that active community engagement is crucial for creating sustainable urban ecosystems that are inclusive, resilient, and innovative. This event will serve as a platform for meaningful discussions and collaborative efforts among community members, organizations, and leaders to actively shape our ecosystem for a better future. The event will feature dynamic panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, providing participants with opportunities to engage in thought-provoking conversations, share ideas, and explore innovative solutions. The discussions will be led by experts in the fields of Mental Wellness, STEAM programming, and community needs, and will be open to questions and input from attendees. “Each Mind Matters: Building Resilient Communities " will focus on the following key areas: STEM Programs: Discussions will revolve around the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in preparing our community's youth for the workforce of the future. Panelists will share insights and best practices for promoting STEM programs, creating opportunities for underrepresented groups, and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity. Mental Health Awareness: The event will highlight the significance of mental health awareness in urban communities. Panel discussions will delve into the challenges and solutions related to mental health, including stigma reduction, access to mental health resources, and community support systems. Community Needs: The event will also address the unique needs of our community, including social, economic, and environmental challenges.
