About Tribal Council Chairwoman Cheryle A. KennedyCheryle Ann (Allen) Kennedy was born in the springtime on April 3rd prior to Termination. She comes from a family of weavers, beaders, carvers, gatherers, fishers and hunters. She is serving her eighth term on Tribal Council and has served 16 years as the chairwoman. She loves sports and has served as a coach for women/co-ed softball and coached girls/women's basketball. She makes regalia and Native American jewelry as well as other beadwork. She’s a believer in art, and she loves our culture and wants it to be revitalized to the fullest extent. She is college educated and encourages all who want to further their education to vigorously pursue that endeavor. She believes in dreaming big, developing new ideas and bringing the future to us.
