TravelRUSH Inc presents "Martha's Vineyard Day"! On Friday, August 4th, 2023, TravelRUSH is ecstatic about providing an experience and sharing the history of the "Inkwell" with our community. Come along for a ride to Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard, to experience the amazing island for the day. We will be leaving at 8am from Brooklyn, NY in a charter bus. We will arrive around 1pm. Everyone is free to explore Oak Bluffs on their own or go by our handpicked itinerary. Return to the bus by 6pm. The” Inkwell” or Town Beach in Oak Bluffs is the name of the popular beach frequented by African Americans beginning in the late nineteenth century. The strand was pejoratively called “The Inkwell” by nearby whites in reference to the skin color of the beachgoers.
