You don't want to miss our next Rotary Club of Greater Lake Forest meeting. We'll hear from Veronica Stephens, Education & Outreach Dept. Manager and Nikki Willkomm, Volunteer Manager will be presenting on Laura's House programs and services they provide. Since 1994, Laura's House has provided domestic violence-related services to the 915,000 residents of Orange County, California and beyond. Over the past 29 years, Laura's House has provided shelter and supportive services to more than 5,000 abused women, men and children and counseling, life skills education and legal advocacy to over 55,000 persons. Today, Laura's House continues to be the only state-approved comprehensive domestic violence agency in South Orange County. Annually, Laura's House provides residential shelter services, transitional housing, counseling and workshops, and legal services to thousands of individuals. Over 3000 crisis calls come in each year on their 24/7 Crisis Hotline. The Rotary Club of Greater Lake Forest looks to recognize them for their "service above self" while presenting them with 90 "care kits" assembled last week to brighten Mother's Day for those in shelters. Consider cleaning out your closet and bring any gently used clothing, Household accessories, or kitchenware to donate during this meeting. Please bring them in a 13- gallon trash bag.
