Ride and Thrive is a mountain biking adventure ride catering to BIPOC women and teenage girls from underserved areas of Austin. Mother-daughter duos are encouraged to sign up but are not required
The event will start at Onion Creek with a short workshop led by local community members. After the workshop, participants will complete a beginner-friendly trail ride led by the Ghisallo Cycling initiative.
This three-part series occurs once a month on March 19th, April 30th, and May 28th. While the series is beginner-friendly, skills do build with each ride getting progressively more advanced so we advise beginners to plan to attend all sessions if possible.
You will need to sign up for each event separately. First come first served. Subscribe to our calendar to be alerted as each monthly event begins accepting sign-ups.
Your email confirmation will be sent from Event Calendar App - [email protected]
Water and light snacks will be provided courtesy of the Ghisallo Cycling Initiative.
This event is open to BIPOC women and nonbinary individuals
A limited number of bikes will be available to use during this event. If you do not own a mountain bike and cannot afford one, please reach out to [email protected] for help.
Ride and Thrive is a community effort brought to you by the Austin Yellow Bike Project, ToughCutie, The Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, and Cycle East.
