The Veteran Summer Slam is an event that a few local captains have put together to say thank you to any and all veterans. This is a 100% free 8-hour off-shore fishing trip. There are more than 20 boats all occupied with Veterans. Camp SHiEld has secured two boats for Women Veterans. This is an overnight multi-day event (family not included) with check-in required on Friday, July 21 after 5PM, and check-out anytime after the party on Saturday, July 22 evening or Sunday, July 23 before 11AM. Barracks-type accommodations provided. Transportation to/from is not provided. Women Veterans only (proof of service required). NOTE THIS REGISTRATION IS CONSIDERED AN APPLICATION AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE SELECTION. The first round of selected applicants will be notified by May 9th, and then on a rolling basis. Please confirm invitation acceptance within 48 hours of notification with your full intake forms (including proof of service). About Veterans Summer SlamWhat began as a single boat and six veterans quickly turned into so much more. Now with more than 40+ boats and 300+ Veterans, we are on a path to complete our mission. Cass Coroiescu is the founder and fleet captain of the Veterans Summer Slam and has a deep passion for the sport of fishing and the outdoors. Still, no passion is stronger than his love for his country and the freedom that he and all Americans share thanks to the sacrifice of the brave men and women of the United States military. Cass's mission is to give back to those Veterans who may not have the opportunity or means to enjoy the things he is so passionate about.
