An evening of performance, food, film and community in honor of AAPI Heritage Month.UCSC AAPI faculty and The 418 Project are pleased to present:Anna May Wong: In Her Own Words (IMDB )Friday, May 19 2023 All Are Welcome 6:00 PM reception: food, performance, community7:00 PM discussion and film hosted by Yiman Wong, UCSC Professor of Film and Digital Media Suggested donation $20 to $1000, no one turned away (please enquire at [email protected] if you prefer to volunteer or want to attend and need a bit of financial support) Please purchase tickets at the highest price you can afford: Your ticket price goes directly to our hosts and to The 418 Project’s mission of making the world more inclusive by supporting emerging artists and diverse communities, so give big! Event proceeds pay artists, cover the cost of film licensing and support the nonprofit mission. No outside food or drink is permitted in the theater except for water. The 418 Project is located at the site of Santa Cruz’s last Chinatown, 155 South River Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. (Plenty of garage parking next door.) The 418 Project complies with local health regulations. Currently, local regulations do not require vaccination, masking, or testing to attend the event. Patrons are requested to wear masks for their safety and the safety of those around them. Should local regulations change, The 418 Project reserves the right to modify attendance-related conditions.
