THEN THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU!!! The term “Modern Sporting Rifle,” aka MSR, is used to describe today’s very popular semi-automatic rifle designs, including the AR-15 and similar variants. The objective is to introduce new shooters and also those who want to be more proficient with their modern sporting rifle platform. This course will help develop good shooting habits and skills necessary to operate the rifle/PCC in a SAFE, FUN and effective manner. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: 1. Rifle-Can be PCC or MSR Platform with 8” barrel length. Rifle MUST be equipped with iron sights or another sighting system, i.e., red dot sight, prismatic sight, etc. Firearm MUST be chambered in INTERMEDIATE or pistol cartridge, 5.56/.223, 5.45X39, .300BO, 7.62X39, 5.7X28, 9mm, 10mm, 40 S+W, .45ACP, etc. Sling on rifle recommended 2. Magazines: 2 Standard Capacity (20-30 rd.) UNLOADED 3. Eye and Ear Protection 4. Ammunition: 60 rounds of range ammunition preferred. DO NOT LOAD YOUR MAGAZINES BEFORE CLASS! 5. Cleaning kit-Optional to bring but sometimes necessary in course. NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN CLASSROOM!
