This masterclass series is designed for nonprofit visionaries contemplating forming a nonprofit organization and leaders desiring to expand the capacity of an existing nonprofit.____________________________________________________________________ MASTERCLASS Part #1 - Saturday, April 29 - How to start a nonprofit organization / IRS compliance / Board governance MASTERCLASS Part #2 - Saturday, May 20 - Nonprofit program planning and grant writing____________________________________________________________________ Class times: 11:00 am - 2:30 pm / arrivals and check-in begin at 10 amLocation: Embassy Covenant Church International, 195 Ladd Road, Walled Lake, MI. Parking is free on the Embassy campus. Class participants will receive electronic tools and resources needed to effectively operate, expand or start a nonprofit organization. The focus will be on organization structure, program planning and funding. Representatives from several funders will be present to provide their perspective on best practices to obtain funding for community based programs. Additionally, there will be 30 minutes of networking at the end of each class to encourage collaboration. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Kyleen Walker, has 16 years experience as a nonprofit consultant and is passionate about helping leaders birth the vision of God into the earth. She has assisted over 170 organizations nationwide in securing their 501(c)3 status and teaches a 6-week nonprofit capacity building course three times a year. To date, 75 organizations have successfully completed her course. Kyleen also has 7 years experience writing winning grant proposals, securing funding from foundations, corporations and the government. Note: This event will not be live streamed or recorded.
