In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, The Physical & Mental Health Committee of Potomac Valley Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in conjunction with CCI Health Services invites the community to a mental health event called Empowering Our Girls: A Community Toolkit on Mental Health. The goal of the event is to supply parents and caregivers with the tools and resources to help young women deal with the stressors that impact their mental health. This is an 18+ event. Please join us Sunday, May 7th at 2 PM at the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD. We will have presentations and panel discussions focusing on Suicide, Bullying, Body Image, Social Media, & Romantic Relationships. This is your chance to connect with behavioral health specialists and get your questions answered. This event is free. COVID-19 Protocol: If you answer yes to any of the following please do not attend the event for the safety of others: Are you feeling sick, with any COVID, flu, or cold symptoms?Have you recently traveled and have to quarantine? Have you been in contact with anyone with COVID in the past seven (7) days, recently tested positive for COVID, or waiting for a COVID test result?
