Mills Riverside Park has a honeysuckle plant that is invasive, spreading, and that competes aggressively with native plants, can destroy biodiversity, and permanently alter habitats through both direct and indirect effects.
We invite you to join us - JFiN (Jericho Families in Nature), the Jericho Underhill Park District, and the Jericho Conservation Commission - on Saturday, May 20, from 10 AM-Noon to cut down invasive honeysuckle at Mills Riverside Park.
Bring loppers, hand saws, gloves, safety glasses, bug spray and water to drink. Dress as appropriate for tick protection.
