Español AbajoThe Celebration of Grassroots Organizing (formerly known as the Lobster Feed) is entering its 10th year! That’s a decade of shifting the way we fundraise to uplift the values of interdependence, abundance, and sustainability. Let’s celebrate another year of our 15 organizations’ hard work on the frontlines: sustaining the neighborhoods most impacted by COVID, fighting on the front lines of the movement for Black lives, uplifting youth voices, and defending communities from the harms of gentrification, policing, deportations, and climate change, among others. Let’s honor that work by nourishing ourselves and our community, raising $200,000 for our movements. Details: The event will be split between two seatings: 1- 3 PM and 5 - 7 PM.Main course options are Lobster, Chicken, and Vegan Plate. Cole slaw, rolls, and pie will be served to all.Beer and wine will be available for a suggested donation.Accessibility: The event is wheelchair accessible, though some tables will be accessible only by stairs.Language justice: Spanish interpretation will be available.We're no longer at Haymarket People’s Fund in JP! We will now be at First Parish Dorchester, under a tent in the churchyard. COVID Safety Precautions: Vaccinations STRONGLY ENCOURAGED (MA vaccination information).We strongly encourage attendees to take a PCR test several days before (MA testing information) or to take a rapid test the day of.The event is fully outdoors, beneath a tent.Masking is required while inside (Bathroom and kitchen).Contact tracing: We will contact all attendees in the case of a positive COVID test following the event.Besides attending, here are 5 ways you can support the 10th Anniversary Celebration: Volunteer at the picnic on June 3.Be a Table Host or Table Captain, bringing your friends with you!Sponsor the event, or ask a company or organization you know to sponsor.Donate to the "Celebrate Grassroots Organizing Fund"!
