In partnership with Denton, Navarro, Rocha, Bernal and Zech (DNRB&Z), and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), AACOG's Environmental Conservation Program will host a FREE two-day training on Illegal Dumping. This class is an examination of the various ways that local governments can use state criminal laws, local ordinances, and Texas civil suits to control illegal dumping and similar activities that threaten local resources and public health. This class is especially tailored for local elected officials faced with controlling these problems in their city or county but who have limited resources to use. The class will also address the various barriers that local officials face to using these laws.
