Local organizations are partnering with KLRN (our local PBS station) to host a screening of the Ken Burn’s documentary “Hiding in Plain Sight,” followed by a community conversation. This film explores youth mental health and addiction, as well as the importance of awareness & empathy, access to mental health care, stigmatization, and how communities can build support to help those in need. Following the screening, a panel of local health experts will have a conversation on this very important topic.
This free event will be on Saturday, May 20 at Santikos Northwest (located at 7600 I-10 West, San Antonio, TX 78230) at 1pm. RSVPs are required and space is limited. Youth and Caretakers are encouraged to attend.
Presented by Bank of America, along with support from WestCare Texas. Other collaborations include Bethel Prevention Coalition, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Rise Recovery, and the San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness.
