Chris Montesano is a bio-intensive gardener in Sonora with a wealth of know-how. Here at Blue Zones Project we know that sweet potatoes are one of the veggies most blue zones have. They are very tolerant to heat and quite nutritious. Delicious too! Maybe we will do a cooking demo for you this Fall with sweet potatoes we grow! We will provide nice grow bags and heirloom sweet potato plants for each participant. You can go home and plant them. Chris is going to show us how to mix planting soil and give us tips on sweet potatoes. Free workshop with limited space. Please RSVP soon. May 20, Saturday morning, 9 to 11 am.
