Come join us at MilDawg Strength and Conditioning for our Annual MURPH WOD on Monday, May 29th, 2023. This is our annual fundraising event in which we honor those Men and Women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and raise money to support a cause dear to our hearts. This year’s proceeds will go to the Sydnee Claire Stokes Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a graduate of Nanih Waiya High School as determined by Sydnee’s family. Sydnee Claire Stokes “Little Miss Sunshine” left this earthly home for Heaven on February 21, 2023. She was 11 years old. Sydnee was struck by a SUV while crossing the road in front of her home. This tragic accident may have taken Sydnee away from this Earth, but her life will continue to shine bright through her family, friends and community. Sydnee’s father wrote, “You are dancing in Heaven tonight, I’m so jealous.” Family friends say, “You would light up any room you walked in” and “made an impact on everyone you met.” Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sydnee’s family, the driver of the SUV, and to all those who have been impacted by her loss. This gym operates every day on the memories of those who left this world too soon. At least “too soon” in our hearts and minds. Although we may not understand God’s plan, we will one day when we all meet up yonder, in the sweet by and by………but until then, let’s remember Sydnee…let’s keep her light shining for the world to see. And there’s no doubt she has already met Millard “MilDawg” Henley. In memory of “Little Miss Sunshine” Sydnee Claire Stokes.
