The Smart Community Corps (SCC) is the Partnership’s signature student engagement program that engages public or community sector organizations and public-private collaboratives as internship host sites for students engaged in all levels of higher education. Interns work full time over a 12-week period in the summer with community host sites on public innovation or civic technology projects that advance the public good and lives of individuals. SCC interns also receive weekly professional development sessions, mentorship opportunities, and support from the Partnership for Inclusive Innovation and their community host site leadership. Join us to learn about some of these dreamers and doers at the Macon Startup Week: The SCC Opening Ceremony is an opportunity for the Macon community to get to know the Partnership, the resources we can provide, our history in Macon, and one of our signature programs, the Smart Community Corps (SCC). It is also an opportunity for our 36 SCC community host sites from across Georgia and the South and our SCC 2023 cohort of student interns to network with attendees in the Macon innovation ecosystem. The event will host speakers, a panel, and networking opportunities.
