(CAP), Dan leads the business development efforts of one of the largest medical malpractice carriers in California. Over his 35-year career in the insurance industry, he has also worked as an insurance broker specializing in reinsurance and liability protection for medical providers, managed care organizations and health plans. In addition to his work at CAP, Dan helped establish two regional chapters of the Medical Group Management Association as a founding board member. He is now the Immediate Past-president of the California Medical Group Management Association, having been elected to an unprecedented three terms as President. Dan also serves as a member of the Marketing Section of the Medical Professional Liability Association, an insurance industry trade association that includes domestic and international MPL insurance companies, risk retention groups, captives, trusts and other entities. He is a graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications, at the University of Kansas. and has been published and quoted in media outlets including Medscape, the Journal of Medical Practice Management and Medical Economics.
