When General George Washington was appointed Commander-in-Chief, he designed his flag (called a standard) with thirteen 6-pointed stars on royal blue silk. This standard was the inspiration for the field of blue and white stars on our modern flag. Now you can make your own standard and wear it proudly! This activity is suitable for adults and teenagers. Be warned we will be working with bleach.
