Description

There’s no shortage of information available on our nation’s housing crisis, including right here in Oakland County where thousands of units are missing for low and moderate income families. But facts and figures alone won’t solve the attainable housing crisis – We as a region need thorough and tangible strategies to grow both the amount of attainable housing available and the amount of families who are able to afford their housing. That’s why the Pontiac Housing Commission set out to bring in experts from around the state for a day-long conference that will focus not only on the issues, but more importantly, their solutions. Part panel discussion, part brain-storming session, this conference is designed to spark genuine and substantial conversation about what can be done in the next several years to increase our region’s quantity and quality of attainable housing and ease the ever-growing burden to individuals and families. Join us for two keynote sessions, with speakers to be announced soon, and three panel discussions moderated by Emmy Award-winning Business Editor Rod Meloni, WDIV-TV Local 4. Breakfast and Lunch will also be served.
