Learn the basics of operating a CO2 laser cutter at the Lansing Maker's Network! This "checkout" training will satisfy the tool training requirement for members, though non-members may attend as well. Laser cutters can be used for cutting, etching, or engraving. CO2 laser cutters can create projects with many different materials: wood, paper, cardboard, acrylic, PMMA, leather, metals, and ceramics! This "checkout" training will cover: Safety policiesImporting vector graphicsPreparing files in RDWorksSetting up the Laser Cutter for jobsNon-members may purchase a membership after the "checkout" training to use the laser cutter during open hours.
