Description

Morgan Adams was diagnosed with Pediatric Feeding Disorder in 2020 after years of her family trying to find the right care and therapy. In 2019 after significant efforts to get her to eat and gain weight, she was diagnosed as failure to thrive and an NG tube was inserted. She and Emily moved to Columbus for Morgan to participate in an intensive feeding therapy program at Nationwide Children's Hospital and it put us all on the slow but sure road to recovery. Since Morgan's stint in Columbus, Emily found Feeding Matters. She's now on the Board of Directors of this incredible nonprofit focused on raising awareness and providing assistance to families struggling with PFD. Her goal --> to educate and inform pediatrics professionals about early childhood feeding struggles so other families find intervention earlier and avoid the care navigation heartache that the Adams went through. Feeding Matters is the first organization in the world uniting families, healthcare professionals, and the broader community to improve the system of care for children with pediatric feeding disorder through advocacy, education, support, and research. Our goal - to make the world a better place for kiddos with PFD. Join us in April to have a fun night out celebrating Morgan's health while learning more about PFD and raising funds for Feeding Matters and some research projects we have teed up for 2023!
