The WBC of Northern Ohio will be hosting the Small business Block Party with Fifth Third Bank, for a jam-packed family-friendly afternoon of small business resources! Enjoy the spring weather, while meeting local entrepreneurial resources and learning about credit and the different ways to access capital. Fifth Third’s Empowerment Mobile (“eBus”) and the Fifth Third team will be on-site to provide financial literacy education resources. This block party will be open to the community, so invite your friends and family to join you! The eBus is customized with 12 computer stations and a classroom, and visits locations across our community to help: Close the financial access gap and dismantle misperceptions about credit, banking, small business financing, and accessing financial servicesDeliver financial empowerment tools and provide awareness about financial empowerment resources to underbanked communitiesWhile on-site, the eBus and the 5/3 team will help to provide financial literacy education resources which include free credit reports and scores, and one-on-one conversations about credit improvement. The Economic & Community Development Institute's Women's Business Centers of Ohio guide individuals at any stage of the business process. Through one-on-one counseling sessions with WBC staff and volunteers, you can get the direction and resources to meet your goals. Business advisers want to help you successfully start a business, or grow and expand your existing business -- increasing revenue and creating jobs for the local economy. The WBCs present training workshops regularly to provide access to small business knowledge at no charge. They are the only SBA-funded Women's Business Centers in the state. The WBC services are provided without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, age, and disability.
