A Fundraiser’s Guide for Influencing Results and Growth
A session for fundraisers as well as nonprofit leaders seeking to better understand how to unlock growth, this session will focus on how the individual fundraiser can position their organization, and themselves, for success, by getting laser-focused on key metrics and effectively communicating results.
Objectives:
• Gain an understanding of the areas of leadership influence an individual fundraiser can, and should, have on the organization.
• Learn key indicators of development success, and why they should stay on the executive radar.
• Learn fundraiser performance metrics, and why individual fundraisers should hold themselves accountable, regardless of their manager’s expertise.
• Hear tips on how to build confidence and influence key areas of the organization by effectively communicating progress and results. A bonus “progress script” will be shared.
Bio
Jill Dotts, MBA, CFRE Jill is a highly regarded leader, strategist, and operations and fundraising systems architect in the nonprofit sector. An award-winning fundraiser and CFRE for over 20 years, Jill has over 25 years of experience in non-profit leadership and management, grantmaking, fundraising campaigns, and major gifts. She currently oversees business and campaign operations for the American Heart Association’s major and estate giving efforts, including vision and oversight of transformative projects and change management. Always an eye on the future, Jill became a certified foresight practitioner in 2020. In addition to advancing the mission of the AHA, Jill is an avid sailor, sailing in club and regional regattas and just for fun, on the Intracoastal Waterway and coastal adventures out of the Melbourne, Florida area.
